Remembering things about Mom is easy to do, She was the one who was there to help with the things of every day life. Mom made sure we knew how to cook, even though we probably made a big mess. I remember her being pretty patient most of the time. Also she'd work with us, Which made working with her fun. Sewing was the one thing I really didn't have the patients for and It would frustrate me so bad. Mom would just say OK, pick it out and start over, I did learn to sew pretty good and even got to enjoy it some. But I never will be as good as she is.
Canning is something I am real thankful she taught me, it is something that I was regularly. It has help to keep my family's supply up.
I also remember the old ironing board we had in the kitchen wall, and mom ironing her temple clothes and telling me how much the temple meant to her, Handling the clothes so gentle and with such love.
Mom came to stay with us when she had her treatments, It was a time where I was able to get some lone time with her, we would talk , laugh and really enjoy being together. I wasn't in the house alot when I was young, Seems like I was outside with Dad. So the times that we had was put to good use. Mom is as hard of a worker as Dad, I had to fight to get some lone time. I remember hiding under our trundle bed with a flashlight to read. Later mom told me how she would sit and read aloud to me. I love to read now and read just about anything. I know this was a love she instilled in me.
When each of the Kids were born she was their to help and Mom I'm so glad you were. I remember how scared I was with Trina, I know I had all of my younger sisters and brother, but I was on my own.
Your sense of humor is wonderful to listen to also, watching you and Larry work the puzzle and kid back and forth, some of the jokes that kids would play on you or Dad , even each other . You could get laughing so hard I sometimes wondered if you would past out. All in all , mom, there is much more I could write, but I'm going to close with telling you how thankful you were my Mother. Your unconditional love and support help pull me through some real rough times. Giving me the strength to go on,to become what I am today. Love you ALWAYS. Bonnie
